Re: Litigation Partner placement at Crosby, Heafey, Roach & May
Previously, I was a name partner in a prominent small business firm, where I was reasonably content and quite busy with a significant business litigation practice. Although I had not been actively looking, I had concluded that the nature of my practice and overflow work would be better served by changing to a larger firm with a more diverse practice and greater depth. I started working with Esquire after several conversations with Mr. Lechtick in mid-1989. I found Sandy to be quite personable, to have an excellent grasp of the legal market, ready access to firms’ key decision-makers and a good insight into my particular needs, goals and aspirations.
The three firms to which he referred me presented a great deal of compatibility in terms of economics, people, philosophy and clients. After one particularly interesting prospect fell through - at the last moment due to client conflict, Sandy did not give up and ultimately arranged my placement in Crosby, Heafey, Roach & May. Although Crosby’s Los Angeles office was fairly new, and was not actively seeking someone with my skills, Sandy was able to arrange an audience with the senior partners in Los Angeles and Oakland. Everything seemed to fall nicely into place after that.
I made a great choice of both law firm and search firm. The Esquire organization and Sandy Lechtick, its President, have my enthusiastic recommendation as a highly effective and very professional legal search firm.
